The company was established in 1975 by Colin Rackstraw  who had qualified as a chartered accountant whilst working for Holland and Co. Holand and Co,a local firm, had decided to merge with a national firm which Colin felt would not benefit the local clients. He therefore, set up his own practice now known as Dashwoods Limited.

At Dashwoods we work in close partnership with our clients forging long-term relationships for the mutual benefit of both parties concerned. We focus attention on ensuring and assisting our clients to meet the statutory obligations of business life; deadlines and compliance. We provide high quality work through offering practical advice on matters such as setting up and trading as a private limited company, partnership or sole trader through efficient use of tax planning opportunity.

We aim to complete all our accounts appointments within 1 month of the books and records reaching our office and our tax returns are always submitted on a timely basis.  Our company structure, we believe, enables us to provide a specialist service at very competitive rates.
